A Sneak Peek at the Week that Was...August 24-28

We had a great time personalize writing notebooks. They look fabulous as we put our own spin on our writing notebooks. These will be used to collect tons of writing ideas throughout the year along with our writing workshop teaching points and strategies.

In math, we worked on building numbers. Do you know how much work it takes to build 100,000? We came close with 34,000 and decided that was enough for the day. We continue to strengthen our skills in place value with practice and hands on experiences.

Chromebooks! We have them in our hands now. They are useful tool in our class, just like paper, pencils and notebooks. We love using them!

In reading workshop, we are learning how to choose books that are the best for us and some strategies for talking to each other about our reading. We know to have a good book conversation, we need to sit close to each other, share specific information, and ask questions.
