This week, students spent time researching a wave of migration to focus on to write a fictional story to showcase their writing and understanding of human migration. We have stories coming together based on the current day Syrian refugee crisis, the Irish potato famine, the Great Stink of London, and Sierra Leone just to name a few. Students are working in pairs or small partnerships to create original stories showing different perspectives on migration. Now they are working on writing their narrative stories. These can be worked on over the weekend.
